Caroling for Cures is our community based annual holiday fundraiser. Are you part of a choir, or you just enjoy caroling during the holidays? Then we invite you to start your own Caroling for Cures donation drive. Donated funds will help to support awareness and research for autoinflammatory diseases, and are tax deductible in the U.S.
How Caroling for Cures Works
To start your own Caroling for Cures donation drive is simple. While out caroling or singing with your choir, bring a jar and ask for donations of small change. To help bring awareness to your cause and about what fever syndromes/autoinflammatory diseases are you can:
- Print the Caroling for Cures graphic to tape to your donation jar or print as a sign to hold while caroling.
- Print this brochure to pass out while caroling.
- Pass out stickers with the Autoinflammatory Alliance logo to donors.
- Pass out autoinflammatory disease information cards. These are small business size cards that give concise information about a few of the diseases, including FMF, HIDS, CAPS, PFAPA, DIRA, CRMO, CANDLE, Blau, and TRAPS. Click here to request SAID information cards. Click here to see what the cards look like.
You can carol door-to-door and collect donations like these kids did in 2014:
Make it Fun and Special for All!
Jingle bells – you can string some bells on pipe cleaners, ribbon, or cord to use when singing certain songs. Kids love these!
Hold battery-operated candles when caroling.
If you are singing in front of a store, or venue, place some battery-operated tealights on a ledge, or on the ground (see photo).
Decorate the collection jars (large plastic jugs with lids are handy) with a handmade “thank you” sign on them.
Bring a thermos with mulled cider or hot chocolate for the carolers, cups and some treats to share, and take a break to enjoy them.
Wear festive clothing, hats or have a themed look. Santa hats are easy to find everywhere in all sizes too.
Invite friends and family to participate.

If singing out in the cold is not for you, make a video of your family caroling or playing music from home to share with family and friends:
